About Gyongyi Kovacs:

Gyöngyi is the Erkko Professor in Humanitarian Logistics at Hanken Schools of Economics, Finland, and the Director of the Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute (HUMLOG Institute). She is a co-editor in chief of the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management (JHLSCM) and writes for InterOrganisational, a blog on supply chain management. Her current research projects include: Resilience in disaster relief and development supply chains - managing challenges of climate change, urbanisation and security; SAFE-MET - Study on risk management of extreme weather related disasters and climate change adaptation in Malawi and Zambia; and other issues realted to supply chain environmental responsibility.
