Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL)
CIEL is a not-for-profit environmental law firm, based in Washington, that aims to strengthen international and comparative environmental law and policy around the world. CIEL provides environmental legal services in both international and comparative national law, including policy research, advice and advocacy, training, and institution building. Through its Intellectual Property and Biodiversity programme, CIEL is working with NGOs and developing country governments to address the public interest impacts of the TRIPS Agreement.
